Privacy Policy
Last updated 16 August 2026
We keep this short and honest: we collect only what we need to talk to you about Palda, we don't sell your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
1. Overview
This policy explains how Palda collects, uses and protects personal data through the Palda website at palda.co. It covers the website and our sales conversations. Where a paid engagement involves handling your customers’ data inside a Palda product, that is governed by the data-processing terms in your engagement agreement.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need:
- Information you give us — when you use the contact form or email us: your name, business, work email, the solution you’re interested in, and the message you send.
- Basic technical data — standard information your browser sends (such as device and page requests) needed to serve and secure the Site.
We do not sell your personal data, and we never have.
3. How we use your information
- to respond to your enquiry and scope a possible engagement;
- to communicate with you about the products you asked about;
- to operate, secure and improve the Site.
4. Legal basis
Where data-protection law applies — including the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019 — we rely on your consent, our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and running our business, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
5. Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers who help us run the Site and our sales process (for example, hosting and email), under confidentiality, and only as needed. We do not share your details with integration partners unless it is necessary for an engagement you have asked us to deliver. We may disclose information where required by law.
6. Data retention
We keep enquiry data only as long as needed to respond and, if a relationship follows, for as long as that relationship requires — after which it is deleted or anonymised.
7. Cookies
The Site uses only the cookies required for it to function. If we add analytics or other non-essential cookies in future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these, email hello@palda.co and we’ll respond within a reasonable time.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously and design for it.
10. International processing
Some of our service providers may process data outside your country. Where they do, we take steps to ensure your data remains protected to the standard described in this policy.
11. Children
The Site is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to let you know.
13. Contact
For any privacy question or request, email hello@palda.co.
